Why IGSA Exists?
IGSA aims to enhance the graduate experience at UCLA through:
- Establishing a support network for international graduate students and scholars as well as students and scholars with keen interests in foreign cultures at UCLA.
- Providing opportunities to share diverse international cultures represented at UCLA.
- Promoting awareness of international issues at UCLA, the greater University of California, and the Los Angeles Community.
- Assisting the cultural transition and societal immersion process of international students and scholars.
- Supporting the intellectual pursuit of international students and scholars at UCLA.
- Representing the international graduate student body to cooperate with the administrative offices and entities of UCLA, including, but not limited to, the Regent’s office, the Chancellor’s office, the various schools and departments of UCLA, the Office of International Students and Scholars, and the Graduate Student Association.
- Establishing a link between alumni and current students and scholars at UCLA.
